‘Concourse’ rose cultivar name is Rosa Chinensis ‘Viridiflora’ and a derivative and mutated version of Rosa Chinensis【月季花】. It was one of the oldest rose plants around bred in 1743 and regarded as unusual because of its petals. Roses first cultivated during the 17th century had no modern petals like today but only leafy sepals. Therefore, the ‘Concourse’ rose is a representation of how the first rose appeared.
