Rosa ‘Isabelle Autissier’ has an intense and fruity fragrance with large cup-shaped, well-filled flowers. During blooming, the outer petals are pink and soft yellow in the centre. As the hybrid tea ages, the colour progresses to a bright orange glow. The bloom size is 10 – 12 cm wide borne mostly solitary in cupped bloom form with 30 to 35 petals. Bred by Michel Adam in France in 1999, ‘Isabelle Autissier’ rose plant can grow to a height of 90 cm – 1.2 m and width of 60 – 70 cm. It has a long lifespan and hardy.
The rose was dedicated to Isabelle Autissier, a French sailor, navigator, writer and broadcaster. She was also the first woman to have completed a competition for solo world navigation.
