Rosa 'Alec's Red'

Rosa ‘Alec’s Red’ a classic tea hybrid has large cup-shaped flowers of 10 – 12 cm wide with rosebuds almost black to reveal pinkish red or cherry-red flowers during blossoming. ‘Alec’s Red’ roses are strongly scented with a pear aroma and form bouquets of 3 to 5 solitary, high-centred blooms on firm branches and perfect as a cut flower. ‘Alec’s Red’ roses have 75 to 90 petals and rather rain-resistant. Bred in 1969 by the late Alexander M. Cocker, ‘Alec’s Red’ rose plant can grow between 75 – 90 cm high and up to 60 cm in width. Alex Red
