Orthosiphon Aristatus

Cat Whiskers or Orthosiphon Aristatus is a medicinal herb plant from the mint family. They are found mainly in southern China, the Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia and tropical Queensland. The name is Kumis Kucing in Indonesia and Misai Kucing in Malaysia. When translated, they mean Cat’s Whiskers due to the long stamens extending out from the plant that look like the whiskers of a cat. The flowers of Cat Whiskers are usually white. Cat Whiskers require more watering to keep the soil moist and not to dry out and plenty of sunlight.
