‘Alnwick Castle’ or ‘The Alnwick Rose’ has a moderately strong Old Rose fragrance with raspberry notes. The pink flowers are 7 cm wide on average with a cupped bloom form in small clusters. Bred in the United Kingdom in 2001, ‘The Alnwick Rose’ plant can grow to a height of 1.25 m and a width of 90 cm with a slightly upright, bushy shrub.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone filmed on location at Alnwick Castle in autumn 2000. The following year, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (the second film in the series) used Alnwick Castle for shooting.
