Holy basil or kaphrao in Thai has a spicy, peppery, clove-like taste that is a favourite among the Thai cuisines. It is also known as Thai holy basil or by its Indian name, tulasi or tulsi, used widely in India for culinary, medicinal, and religious purposes. The Tulsi plant is a native to the Indian subcontinent and a popular cultivated plant in Southeast Asia. It loves sunlight, so find a sunny spot for it to receive enough lights. Thai Holy Basil is not the same type of herbs as Thai Basil or Sweet Basil which may lead to some confusion.
