Citrus Australasica

Australian Finger Lime tree or otherwise known as Caviar Lime or its scientific name Citrus Australasica has edible fruits. The pearl-like juice vesicles that look like caviar are acidic, similar to that of a lime. It can act as garnishing or used with other recipes. The finger lime peel can be dried and used as a seasoning spice for cooking. Preserved food like marmalade and pickles are made from finger lime. It thrives in a lowland subtropical rainforest and rainforest in the coastal border region of Queensland and New South Wales, Australia.
